Where it came from
Search for Tomorrow was originally released as part of the Iconic Masters set in 2017. As a reprint of a popular card originally featured in the Time Spiral expansion, its inclusion in The List—a curated selection of cards that can be found in Set Boosters—reintroduces the card to a modern playing environment while maintaining its utility for players who utilize green mana ramp in various constructed formats.
The card features artwork by Lars Grant-West, whose illustration captures the evocative, nature-focused aesthetic central to the green color identity in Magic: The Gathering. The design focuses on the theme of searching and growth, fitting the card's function as a sorcery that allows players to search their library for basic lands, a design philosophy that has remained a staple of efficient card advantage and deck thinning since the game's early years.
