Together Forever

Together Forever was released in 2023 as part of the March of the Machine Commander set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. It was originally printed as part of the preconstructed Commander deck titled Growing Threat, which focuses on the Phyrexian faction and themes of counter-based synergy. This card acts as a utility piece for decks centered on +1/+1 counters, allowing players to protect their creatures or recover them from the graveyard, fitting thematically into the high-stakes, multiversal conflict depicted in the set.

The card features illustration by artist Wisnu Tan, who has contributed extensively to the visual identity of modern Magic: The Gathering. The design employs a classic, supportive mechanical function known to players as a 'flicker' or 'recursion' effect, intended to reward strategic resource management during long-form multiplayer Commander games. Upon its debut, the card was received as a stable and reliable inclusion for Orzhov-colored decks, prized for its ability to mitigate the attrition common in the game's social format.
