Where it came from
Training Grounds is a land-type card from the Avatar: The Last Airbender Eternal trading card game, released to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the Nickelodeon animated series. The set was designed to capture the tactical essence of the show's bending arts, with the card featuring artwork that depicts the austere, rocky terrain where Aang and his companions often practiced their elemental disciplines.
The design of the card emphasizes the series' focus on discipline and preparation, serving as a functional mechanic in the game that reflects the characters' growth throughout their journey. It was received by the player base as a staple utility card, noted for its thematic alignment with the show's narrative beats and the careful balance required in gameplay strategies during the Eternal series run.
