Provenance

Where it came from

The Shanks card from the PRB-01 'ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST' set serves as a reprint of the original secret rare card first introduced in the 'Romance Dawn' [OP-01] expansion. Released as part of a commemorative anniversary collection, this card revisits one of the most iconic pieces of art from the early days of the One Piece Card Game, designed to celebrate the history of the franchise and provide players with a high-rarity variant of a character central to the series' narrative.

The artwork for this specific card captures the formidable presence of Shanks, the Red-Haired Emperor. The design prioritizes a dramatic, cinematic composition consistent with the visual language established by the Bandai Namco design team. Since its initial debut, this artwork has been highly regarded by the collecting community for its bold color palette and its faithful representation of the character's status, making it a recurring point of interest in subsequent premium sets.
