Shanks

The Shanks leader card, identified as OP09-001, was released as part of the Emperors in the New World booster set for the One Piece Card Game. This set focuses on the powerful figures known as the Four Emperors, reflecting a pivotal era in the source material where these characters hold immense influence over the Grand Line. The inclusion of Shanks as a leader highlights his status as one of the most enigmatic and formidable pirates in the series, capturing his unique role as a bridge between the old and new generations of sea-farers.

The design of this card adheres to the high-contrast, dynamic aesthetic established by the One Piece Card Game since its launch. The illustration emphasizes Shanks's composed yet intimidating presence, consistent with his portrayal by Eiichiro Oda throughout the manga's history. By featuring him as a leader, the game mechanics aim to replicate his strategic mastery, prioritizing board control and powerful combat capabilities that align with his lore-accurate reputation as a master of Haki.
