Harpie Lady Sisters

Harpie Lady Sisters first appeared in the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game during the early 2000s, reflecting the franchise's expansion from the manga into a global phenomenon. As part of the Metal Raiders set, released as the second major booster expansion in the English TCG, the card introduced players to a signature monster of the character Mai Valentine. Its design draws directly from the Japanese aesthetic of the series, focusing on a trio of avian-themed warriors that offered a strategic advantage when summoned through the specific Ritual-like mechanics of the era.

The card's design features distinct artwork that emphasizes the cohesive, tactical nature of the Harpie archetype. In the competitive scene, it was received as a high-value collector's piece due to its Super Rare status and its association with one of the most iconic dueling strategies in the early anime series. While later sets provided significant support for the Harpie theme, this particular print remains a nostalgic touchstone for collectors, marking a pivotal moment in the establishment of elemental deck-building tropes within the game.
