Where it came from
The 2025 Andorra 2 Euro commemorative coin was minted to celebrate the Games of the Small States of Europe, a biennial multi-sport event featuring athletes from European nations with populations of less than one million. This specific issue serves to highlight Andorra's role as a member of the Olympic family of small states, fostering regional cooperation and athletic spirit through the symbolic medium of national currency.
The design typically reflects the theme of competitive unity, often incorporating abstract or geometric representations of the sporting events and the geographic scale of the participating microstates. Produced by the Andorran government in accordance with European Central Bank regulations, the coin follows the aesthetic standards for commemorative euro issues, prioritizing clean lines and emblematic iconography to represent the pride and participation of the Andorran sporting community.
