Where it came from
Comic X-Eros, published by Eros Comix, emerged during a period in the 1990s and 2000s when the imprint sought to bring high-quality illustrative talent to the adult comics market. As part of a long-running anthology series, issue #118 served as a vehicle for underground and fantasy artists to showcase narrative-driven erotic work, adhering to the publisher's goal of blending artistic technique with mature themes.
The design and illustrative direction of the series were influenced by the legacy of underground comix, prioritizing stylized character work and elaborate linework. These issues were typically well-received within the niche collector community for their consistent print quality and the inclusion of rotating guest artists, which helped maintain the series' status as a staple of the Eros Comix catalogue for several years.
