Oltretomba Collezione #70

Oltretomba Collezione was a long-running Italian fumetti neri series published throughout the 1970s by Edizioni ErreGi. These pocket-sized, black-and-white horror comics were a hallmark of the era's pulp culture, designed to appeal to adult readers with stories featuring macabre themes, supernatural entities, and gothic atmospheres. The series thrived on the popularity of Italian horror comics, providing affordable, sensationalist escapism that pushed the boundaries of the medium at the time.

The aesthetic of Oltretomba was defined by high-contrast ink work and dramatic, often lurid cover art that served as a signature for the genre. Issue #70 followed the established editorial formula of the series, which focused on self-contained tales of terror or suspense. While individual contributors were often uncredited or worked under pseudonyms to maintain the series' distinct house style, the illustrations were carefully crafted to evoke a sense of unease, reflecting the broader trend of Italian noir comics which were widely consumed but historically marginalized as disposable entertainment.
