Giant Growth is one of the foundational spells in the Magic: The Gathering trading card game, originating in the Alpha set of 1993. It was designed to showcase the fundamental mechanics of combat tricks in green, allowing players to temporarily boost a creature's power and toughness for a low mana cost. This specific version appeared in the 2017 Explorers of Ixalan board game expansion, which was designed as a standalone, multiplayer experience that integrated light strategy elements with traditional card play to simulate a journey through the perilous, dinosaur-inhabited plane of Ixalan.

The artwork for this particular printing was created by Matt Cavotta, a veteran illustrator whose work has appeared on hundreds of Magic cards since the late 1990s.
