What it does
Flying; banding (Any creatures with banding, and up to one without, can attack in a band. Bands are blocked as a group. If any creatures with banding you control are blocking or being blocked by a creature, you divide that creature's combat damage, not its controller, among any of the creatures it's being blocked by or is blocking.)
Before a woman marries in the village of Sursi, she must visit the land of the Mesa Pegasus. Legend has it that if the woman is pure of heart and her love is true, a Mesa Pegasus will appear, blessing her family with long life and good fortune.

Where it came from
The Mesa Pegasus card belongs to the International Collectors' Edition (ICE), a 1993 release produced by Wizards of the Coast for the international market. This set was created to introduce the Magic: The Gathering card game to players in Europe and elsewhere, featuring a distinct gold-bordered design to distinguish these cards from the standard tournament-legal versions found in the Unlimited or Revised sets.
The art for the Mesa Pegasus was rendered by artist Dan Frazier, a prominent contributor to the early years of the game. His illustration captures the ethereal, classical aesthetic common to early white-aligned creatures, reflecting the high-fantasy influences of the period. While intended for accessibility, the gold-bordered cards were not permitted in official tournament play, a fact that has shaped their specific standing among collectors today.
