Myriad Landscape

Myriad Landscape was first introduced in the Commander 2014 release, designed as a utility land specifically tailored for the multiplayer Commander format. Its utility stems from its ability to sacrifice itself to ramp the player by searching their library for two basic land cards of the same type and putting them onto the battlefield tapped. This design addresses the core challenge of the Commander format, which often requires significant mana acceleration to cast high-cost spells and maintain board presence in a four-player game.

The card was later reprinted in the Commander Anthology set, which sought to curate and make accessible some of the most essential cards from the earliest iterations of the Commander precon decks. The artwork, created by the artist John Avon, utilizes his signature expansive, panoramic style to evoke a sense of vast, untapped potential within the game's landscape. It is widely regarded by players as a staple for its versatility, appearing in a vast majority of green-inclusive decks where land ramp is a central strategy.
