Myriad Landscape

Myriad Landscape was first introduced to the Magic: The Gathering ecosystem in the Commander 2014 set, designed to provide non-green decks with a scalable method for ramp and color fixing. It emerged as a utility land that rewards players for waiting, allowing them to sacrifice it to search their library for two basic land cards. By the time it was reprinted in Commander 2020 as card number 292, it had become a staple for casual Commander players due to its affordability and the tactical flexibility it provides in multiplayer games.

The art, illustrated by John Avon, reflects the typical landscape aesthetic found throughout the game’s history, focusing on expansive, painterly vistas that suggest a wide-reaching reach across the game's various planes. Avon, a veteran artist for the game known for his sweeping vistas and mastery of light, aimed to capture a sense of discovery and untapped potential. The card is widely appreciated by the community for its clean, efficient design, serving as an accessible inclusion for nearly any deck archetype that relies on mana acceleration.
