Port Town

Port Town was originally printed as a rare land in the 2016 expansion Shadows over Innistrad. As part of a cycle of allied-color dual lands, it was designed to support two-color archetypes within the game’s mechanics by rewarding players for revealing a basic land of the appropriate type from their hand. This particular version is a promotional printing released alongside the set, featuring unique artwork that distinguishes it from the standard card stock.

The illustration was created by artist Cliff Childs, who has contributed extensively to the visual language of the game. In this piece, Childs sought to capture the eerie, gothic aesthetic central to the Innistrad setting, emphasizing the mist-shrouded architecture of a coastal harbor. The promo variant was distributed through Wizards of the Coast’s organized play programs, intended as a reward for players participating in regional tournaments during the set's release window.
