Scrubland

Scrubland, a signature dual land from Magic: The Gathering, was first introduced in the game's initial 1993 release. It represents a fundamental mechanical pillar of the game, providing access to both white and green mana without the penalty of entering play tapped, a design choice that solidified its status as a cornerstone of competitive play. The 30th Anniversary Edition, released in 2022, serves as a commemorative reimagining of the original set's iconic aesthetic.

The 30th Anniversary Edition utilizes the original card frames and illustrations created by artists like Jesper Myrfors, whose work helped define the dark fantasy atmosphere of the early game. This edition features a distinct non-tournament-legal card back to distinguish it from the original 1993 printings, intended as a high-end collector's item rather than a functional piece for sanctioned competitive formats. The reception among the community has been defined by its role as a premium display piece for those seeking to appreciate the game's visual history.
