Scrubland

Scrubland, a dual land originally printed in the Alpha set of Magic: The Gathering in 1993, is a hallmark of the game's early design. It was created to provide players with flexibility by producing both white and green mana, effectively bridging two distinct mechanical archetypes. The card was illustrated by Christopher Rush, one of the game's most iconic early artists, who employed a signature fantasy style that defined the aesthetic of the era's collectible card games.

The 'Summer Magic' version, often referred to as Edgar, is a legendary rarity within the community. Produced in 1994, this set was intended as a corrected reprint of the Revised Edition but was largely destroyed due to severe printing errors. A small number of cards escaped the factory, making this specific version of Scrubland one of the most elusive and sought-after artifacts for high-end collectors, representing a pivotal moment of transition and rarity in the game's production history.
