2 Euros (Political Rights)

The 2015 Andorran 2 Euro commemorative coin was issued to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Law on Political Rights, marking a significant milestone in the principality's legislative history. Andorra, known for its unique co-principality status shared between the Bishop of Urgell and the President of France, introduced this piece to commemorate the quarter-century since the modernization of its political and administrative framework. The design process focused on reflecting the nation's democratic evolution while adhering to the strict technical standards required for circulation coinage within the Eurozone.

The design features an artistic representation of the Andorran coat of arms, positioned prominently to symbolize the authority and sovereignty of the state. Surrounding the imagery are inscriptions denoting the anniversary, crafted with the clean, minimalist aesthetic characteristic of contemporary European commemorative issues. Upon its release, the coin was highly sought after by collectors due to Andorra's status as a non-EU member with limited annual minting quotas, making it a distinct highlight for those documenting the transition of small European nations into the broader currency union.
