Provenance

Where it came from

The Tarkir: Dragonstorm Art Series Plains was released by Wizards of the Coast as part of a specialized line of promotional cards. These cards were designed to highlight the aesthetic identity of the Tarkir plane, a world defined by its shifting timelines and dragon-centric culture, by stripping away the typical functional card text to emphasize the landscape illustration.

The artwork for this particular Plains features a serene yet rugged interpretation of the Tarkir terrain, focusing on the atmospheric qualities and architectural hints characteristic of the set's setting. The design reflects the broader Art Series initiative, which prioritizes the card's visual composition for players and collectors who appreciate the high-fantasy worldbuilding and stylistic consistency inherent in the Magic: The Gathering multiverse.
