Change of Heart

Change of Heart first appeared in the early days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, originally released as an Ultra Rare in the Metal Raiders expansion in 2002. Designed as a powerful Normal Spell card, its effect allows a player to take control of one of their opponent's monsters for a single turn, reflecting the thematic manipulation of an adversary's resources. The artwork depicts a hand holding a glowing heart, a visual shorthand for its mind-altering capabilities that became iconic among players during the game's formative competitive years.

The version from Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World, numbered LCYW-EN124, was released in 2012 as a Secret Rare. This collection was intended to celebrate the legacy of Yugi Muto, featuring reprints of cards central to the character's strategy and the early anime narrative. As a Secret Rare, this specific printing features the distinct diagonal foil pattern and textured surface characteristic of its rarity tier, making it a highly sought-after aesthetic upgrade for collectors compared to its earlier, more common printings.
