Bear

The Bear token, designated as collector number 12 within the Commander 2015 set, was released by Wizards of the Coast in November 2015. These tokens were designed to serve as physical representations for effects within the set that create 2/2 green Bear creature creatures, most notably featured in the Plunder the Graves deck. As with many token cards from this era, they were included in preconstructed decks to provide players with convenient, branded markers for gameplay utility.

The illustration for this token was created by artist Jesper Ejsing, whose work is well-known throughout the Magic: The Gathering landscape for its expressive and painterly style. Ejsing sought to capture a classic, naturalistic depiction of a bear that would remain visually distinct on the tabletop amidst a chaotic game state. Upon its release, the token was well-received by the player base for its functional clarity and the recognizable, high-quality aesthetic that defines the game's modern token library.
