Beast

The Beast token from the Aetherdrift Commander Tokens set was released as part of a supplementary expansion for Magic: The Gathering. These tokens are functional accessories designed to represent creature permanents created during gameplay, specifically for decks utilizing mechanics that generate Beast tokens. The aesthetic of the Aetherdrift set draws upon themes of high-altitude exploration and celestial machinery, aiming to provide a distinct, ethereal visual identity that differentiates it from the standard core sets.

The artwork for this specific token adheres to the stylistic guidelines established for the Aetherdrift release, focusing on a balance between raw biological ferocity and the refined, arcane technological motifs central to the plane's lore. Illustrators within the Magic: The Gathering development pipeline are tasked with maintaining a cohesive visual language across the set, ensuring that tokens remain easily recognizable for players while enriching the narrative atmosphere of the tabletop experience. The design has been received as a functional and thematic complement to the decks it supports.
