Where it came from
The Cat token, identified as token 1 of 12 from the Commander 2017 release, was produced by Wizards of the Coast to support the Feline Ferocity deck. This set focused on tribal synergies, and the token serves as a physical representation of the 2/2 white Cat creatures generated by the deck's primary commander, Nazahn, Revered Bladesmith, and various support spells.
The artwork for this token was commissioned by Wizards of the Coast as part of the visual expansion of the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. The design emphasizes the iconic aesthetic of the game's creature tokens, providing players with a clear, functional visual aid that maintains the distinct artistic identity of the 2017 Commander product line.
