Where it came from
Karplusan Forest, a dual land card that taps for red or green mana, traces its mechanical origins back to the very early years of Magic: The Gathering, first appearing in the 1995 Ice Age expansion. This specific version, identified as card number 250p from the Dominaria United Promos set, serves as a refined re-release of the classic design, intended to bridge the gap between nostalgia and the modern competitive landscape of the Dominaria United era.
The art for this promo printing captures the rugged, untamed wilderness of the titular region, emphasizing the volatile elemental energies inherent in the card's design. This iteration was distributed primarily through organized play events, rewarding players with a sleek, updated aesthetic that honors the long-standing tradition of the Pain Land cycle while ensuring the card remains accessible for players looking to strengthen their mana bases in tournament-sanctioned formats.
