Provenance

Where it came from

The Zombie token, numbered 15 in the Foundations Tokens set, was released by Wizards of the Coast as a utility component for the Magic: The Gathering card game. Tokens are designed to represent auxiliary creatures created by the effects of main-deck cards, and this specific iteration serves as a standardized visual reference for players managing board states during gameplay.

The visual design of this token aligns with the atmospheric, horror-inspired aesthetic prevalent in Magic: The Gathering's depictions of the undead. These tokens are produced to be functional additions to the game, characterized by clear iconography that allows players to easily distinguish them from permanent cards in their decks while maintaining a cohesive look with the set's broader art direction.
