Mountain

The Mountain card designated as WOE-273 first appeared as part of 'The List,' a curated selection of reprints integrated into Magic: The Gathering booster packs. This specific iteration hails from the Wilds of Eldraine expansion, featuring the aesthetic sensibilities of the set's fairy-tale inspired plane. Basic lands in these sets are designed to provide both functional gameplay utility and a window into the thematic narrative of the world, often utilizing sweeping, evocative landscapes that ground the player in the set's atmosphere.

The artistic direction for lands in the modern era of the game focuses on expansive vistas that reflect the specific magic and lore of their home plane. By including these in 'The List,' Wizards of the Coast allows players to encounter cards from various eras and styles, maintaining a sense of historical continuity. These cards are received by collectors as accessible pieces of functional art that help maintain the visual identity of the game while providing necessary resources for deck construction.
