Where it came from
The Bird token with collector number 003 originates from the 2024 Magic: The Gathering expansion set Bloomburrow. This set was designed to evoke a whimsical, fable-like aesthetic, featuring a world populated entirely by anthropomorphic animals. The token is utilized within the Commander deck ecosystem to represent avian creatures summoned by various spells and abilities throughout gameplay.
The artistic direction for the Bloomburrow tokens reflects the set's high-fantasy, storybook-inspired theme, characterized by soft textures and a rustic color palette. The illustrations were created to maintain visual consistency with the main set's cards, ensuring they function as clear, thematic identifiers on the game board during matches. As an auxiliary component of the Commander product line, these tokens were received by players as functional enhancements meant to integrate seamlessly into the immersive environment of the Bloomburrow release.
