The Summer Magic set, colloquially known as 'Edgar' among enthusiasts, was a limited print run of Magic: The Gathering cards produced in 1994 by Cartamundi in Belgium. It was intended to correct the color balance and print quality issues found in the original Revised Edition, but the print run was largely shelved due to misprints and internal quality control concerns. While most of the inventory was meant to be destroyed, a significant portion made its way into the secondary market, rendering it one of the most intriguing anomalies in early trading card history.

The 'Mountain' card from this set retains the classic landscape illustration originally commissioned by Wizards of the Coast for the Alpha edition, featuring the stark, iconic art style that defined the game's foundational aesthetic. Because the Summer Magic print run resulted in vibrant, distinct color saturations compared to the more muted Revised cards, these items are highly prized by collectors for their visual clarity and the scarcity born of the set's accidental release.
