Reliquary Tower

Reliquary Tower originated in the 2008 set Eventide, designed to provide a utility land that rewards players for holding large hands of cards. Its inclusion in the Commander 2021 collection, specifically within the Prismari Performance deck, reflects its status as a staple utility land within the Commander format. Because Commander games frequently involve drawing significant numbers of cards, the ability to bypass the standard maximum hand size restriction has made this card an essential inclusion for many deck builders.

The artwork for this specific printing was created by Titus Lunter, who brought a sense of grand, arcane architecture to the card. Lunter's design emphasizes the verticality and magical aura of the tower, fitting the card's function as a repository of knowledge. The design was well-received by the player base for its clarity and thematic alignment with the concept of an infinite library, solidifying its place as one of the most widely played land cards in the format's history.
