Forest

The Forest card from the Tarkir: Dragonstorm set represents a fundamental element of the Magic: The Gathering trading card game, serving as a basic land card that provides green mana. Released as part of the broader Khans of Tarkir block narrative, the aesthetic of this card is deeply rooted in the set's central theme of warring clans and the shifting timelines of the plane of Tarkir. The art direction emphasizes the rugged, untamed landscapes of the world, designed to immerse players in the dragon-dominated environment that defines the expansion.

The visual design of this card follows the established stylistic guidelines for basic lands within the Modern-era sets of the game. Artists for this series were tasked with illustrating a sense of scale and ancient atmosphere, utilizing high-contrast lighting and sweeping vistas to depict the natural beauty of the plane. Upon its release, these cards were received as functional staples that successfully translated the high-fantasy lore of Tarkir into a tactile, playable experience for both casual collectors and competitive players.
