Forest

The Forest card, designated as collector number 281 in the Foundations set, serves as a fundamental building block for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Released in 2024, the Foundations set was specifically engineered to provide a stable, evergreen collection of cards accessible to players of all skill levels, ensuring that iconic gameplay mechanics remain available for years to come. This particular card functions as a basic land, representing the essential resource of green mana that fuels creatures and spells throughout the game.

The artistic direction for Foundations focuses on a blend of contemporary aesthetics and traditional fantasy motifs, aiming to evoke the timeless nature of the game’s multiverse. Like many basic lands in this set, the illustration was crafted to showcase the immersive atmosphere of the game's various settings. These designs are intended to provide visual clarity while maintaining a high standard of aesthetic polish, a hallmark of the collaborative efforts between the internal design team and the illustrators commissioned to define the visual language of the modern Magic era.
