Forest

The Forest card, designated as collector number 351 within the Starter Commander Decks released by Wizards of the Coast, serves as a fundamental resource card essential for gameplay in the Magic: The Gathering ecosystem. These decks were specifically designed to provide an accessible, ready-to-play entry point for players interested in the Commander format, which emphasizes social multiplayer interaction and deep deck customization. By including reliable, standardized basic lands, the set aimed to lower the barrier to entry for newcomers while maintaining the aesthetic consistency expected of the game.

The visual design of this Forest card follows the established art direction of modern Magic: The Gathering, focusing on immersive, high-fantasy environmental illustrations that ground the player in the game's various planes of existence. While basic lands are produced in massive quantities, the artwork for this specific printing was curated to reflect the lush, expansive nature of the forest environment. The reception of these Starter Commander Decks has been generally positive among the community, primarily due to their functional utility and success in streamlining the transition for players moving from casual play to the more complex Commander format.
