Forest

The Forest card, collector number 382, originates from the 2020 Magic: The Gathering set Double Masters. This expansion was specifically designed as a premium, curated reprint set, intended to provide players with access to powerful and sought-after cards from the game's history while featuring updated, high-quality aesthetics. The set was released in a period where Wizards of the Coast was placing a heavier emphasis on collector-focused boosters, ensuring that even basic land cards like this Forest received unique, thematic visual treatments to distinguish them from standard set releases.

The artwork for this particular iteration of the Forest was crafted to embody the lush, untamed aesthetic consistent with the high-fantasy world-building of Magic: The Gathering. As part of a set aimed at both enfranchised players and collectors, the design prioritizes a refined artistic style that enhances the card's visual appeal beyond its functional utility. Upon release, it was well-received by the community for its polished presentation and its inclusion in a set that prioritized a more luxurious tactile and visual experience compared to typical draft-focused expansions.
