Forest

The Forest card, numbered pp377, was released as part of the Pro Tour Collector Set, a promotional collection issued by Wizards of the Coast in the late 1990s. This set was designed to commemorate the competitive Magic: The Gathering circuit, specifically highlighting the cards that saw frequent play during the game's formative professional seasons. It served as a snapshot of the high-level deck compositions that defined the Pro Tour meta during that era, offering players an opportunity to own curated decks that mimicked those used by top-tier tournament competitors.

The design of the card utilizes the classic forest aesthetic established during the game's early years, emphasizing the lush, verdant landscapes synonymous with green mana. As with other cards in the Pro Tour Collector Set, this item features a distinctive gold-foil stamp on the card face, distinguishing it from standard-issue expansions. While the set was criticized by some collectors at the time for its non-tournament-legal gold borders, it remains a significant piece of history for those interested in the evolution of professional Magic: The Gathering and the aesthetic standardization of the game's basic land cycles.
