Island

The Island card is part of the base set for the Marvel's Spider-Man trading card series, which draws its aesthetic and narrative inspiration directly from the 2018 Insomniac Games release. These cards were produced to capture the expansive open-world environment of Manhattan as portrayed in the game, focusing on key locations that serve as backdrops for Peter Parker’s exploits. The set emphasizes the digital artistry of the game's engine, showcasing how the developers utilized distinct lighting and atmospheric design to make the city feel like a character in its own right.

The design of this series leans heavily into the clean, modern user interface of the PlayStation title, utilizing high-fidelity in-game captures that highlight the verticality and detail of the map. By featuring iconic locales like the Island, the collection provides a tangible souvenir for players who spent hours traversing the virtual rooftops. The set was generally well-received by fans of the franchise for its faithful representation of the game's atmosphere and for providing a comprehensive catalog of the various landmarks that define the Spider-Man experience.
